Why We Give

As Christians, we recognize everything we have comes from God, and we are simply sharing these gifts for God's world. Through our giving, we demonstrate in a tangible way our love for God and our neighbors. Each year, we ask our members to commit to supporting our budget which covers our ministry. We do this for the following reason: All we have is a gift from God, so we believe that giving to God's work is an act of worship.

At West Union Lutheran, giving is an expectation of membership. The church does not specify how much an individual should give, but we hope each person will commit to support the ministries of the church trusting on God to guide and provide.

Giving makes possible: worship, programs for children and students, learning, pastoral care and support, mission trips, community service, and building and operational needs.

Note that all online giving has a processing fee that West Union Lutheran pays from your contribution. ACH is 1.26% and Debit/Credit Cards are 3.36%. To stretch your giving that much further it is helpful if you cover the processing fee.
